Villa Rothschild Kempinski

The Villa Rothschild Kempinski, located not far from Frankfurt-am-Main, is an historic hotel with a 10 hectares park, at the foot of the Taunus mountains. The newly designed restaurant was inaugurated at the end of 2017 and Catellani & Smith took part in the lighting design, in cooperation with the architecture studio Rudolf & Mogendorf. Catellani & Smith supplied Luna LED-wall lamps, which have been designed in a custom-made version suitable to be installed at the boiserie which decorates the rooms. The Luna LED are made of a gold-coloured disc and a satin-finished rod. A bespoke composition of gold-coloured Lederam discs in different diameters has also been installed at the ceiling of a private dining-room.
