Schloss Elmau is a unique Hotel &amp; Spa situated in an enchanting mountain setting among the Bavarian Alps, 100 km from Munich. The main rooms of the hotel, from the reception to the music room, are illuminated and furnished with Catellani &amp; Smith lamps from the Stchu-Moon, Luci D&#8217;Oro, Fil de Fer collections.

Macchina della Luce emerged from the Luci d’Oro collection, and was also developed after reflecting on the colour of light: the golden light of the sun and fire; warm light, in which the concept of refraction began to take shape in Enzo Catellani’s mind and which he used later in other creations.

Stchu-Moon separates the light source from the lighting object, which takes on its own aesthetic quality as a result. The light is refracted off deliberately irregular surfaces, which multiplies their quantity, making the entire object a glowing light.
